Have you ever used it to inspire a setting for a game (or story)? It seems perfect for that. Some of the entries on my list are inspired by real-life locations, of course, such as the Sedlec Ossuary, and the Capuchin Catacombs in Palermo.

It was he most sheerly *wrong* place I’ve ever been.
